"I'm just so tired of the pain. I really just don't care right now. I must be cursed. How can this be? I just want to lay here. I don't see an end to this pain. Ugh. Just leave me alone!.

why do I have to start over?"

"Damn, I was a beast in the gym. After my  shoulder injury, I'm so small. I look weak and lost all my gains. This sucks."

"What is this stupid band exercise doing for me? I don't even feel it working. My physical therapist prescribed a home program but it's just a bunch of baby exercises with bands, balls, and straps. What a waste of time."

"Why do I need to work on my upper spine when my leg is the problem? I should be doing leg exercises. I'll skip my PT exercises and try leg exercises I saw online."

"I didn't do my physical therapy after my injury so I'm sure my injuries are permanent now. I'll get ideas from YouTube to help me manage. I don't plan on doing any PT at this point."

Many of these types of post injury thoughts will only allow the possibility of altered movement patterns to develop or worsen. For example, ignoring rehabilitating an ankle injury may lead to hip and knee misalignment which may also result in hip, knee and or low back pain.
